How to connect Cursor with Infyner MCP

Cursor supports custom MCP servers on all plans, including free. Add Infyner once, then research Indian companies by CIN in Agent chat. Unlike Claude.ai, Cursor does not use the Infyner /authorize browser page — put your website email and password in MCP settings / env when you want deep research.

Try it Using Infyner MCP, research CIN U45200BR2006PTC012319 - current directors, open charges and scores.

Step 1: Add the connector

Option A — via Settings UI

Open Cursor Settings
Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + J (or open Settings from the menu).
Find MCP
Open MCP & Integrations (or Settings → MCP).
Add Infyner
Click + Add new MCP server and fill in:
- Name — infyner
- Type — URL / Remote (if asked), or Command / stdio with the downloaded package
- URL — https://www.infyner.com/api/mcp/infyner-research (use this for a remote HTTP MCP entry; the package folder https://www.infyner.com/mcp/infyner-research/ is only for the local Node/stdio option)
- Email / Password — empty for free, or your Infyner website login in settings / env (not an OAuth Client ID field)
Click Save.

Option B — via config file

Open mcp.json
Mac/Linux: ~/.cursor/mcp.json · Windows: %USERPROFILE%\.cursor\mcp.json. Create the file if it does not exist.
Download or paste Infyner setup
Use our Cursor setup file, set the MCP URL to https://www.infyner.com/api/mcp/infyner-research, and optionally add email and password.

Save and restart Cursor
Restart so Infyner appears in the MCP panel.

Step 2: Confirm connection

Open the MCP panel
Find Infyner in Cursor’s MCP list. Status should show as connected / ready, with Infyner tools listed.
If you want deep research
Set the same email and password as www.infyner.com in Cursor MCP env (INFYNER_CLIENT_ID = email, INFYNER_CLIENT_SECRET = password) or the UI email/password fields. Leave both empty for free snapshot research. Cursor does not open Infyner’s /authorize page — that flow is for Claude.ai Connect.

Step 3: Use Infyner

Open chat
Open the chat panel (Cmd/Ctrl + L) and switch to Agent mode.
Ask with a CIN
Example: “Find directors and open charges for CIN U45200BR2006PTC012319 using Infyner.”
Approve tool calls
Cursor may ask before each tool call. Click Run / Allow to proceed.
